Pretty exciting news in the fossil world this week.

A new Pterosaur has been discovered in Argentina. Its name is Allkauren koi, which means brain ancient.  This fossil find is unique in that the brain case for the pterosaur was found intact.

The other interesting news is that the world’s oldest fossil may have been discovered in Greenland.  It is a fossil of a 3.7 billion year old microbial structure.
